Pensacola, Florida – August 1, 2011 – The Dixie Echoes are pleased to announce the addition of new bass vocalist, Mike Jennings. Mike is 39 years old and hails from Westminster, Maryland. He will soon make Pensacola, Florida his new home.
Stewart Varnado states, “At the beginning of our search for a bass singer, we were in concert with Gold City. Their tenor, Dan Keeton, told me of a bass singer from Maryland that we just had to hear. Exactly one week later, Mike came to one of our concerts. Dan was right. Mike immediately impressed all of us. He possesses one of the most pleasant bass voices that I’ve ever heard.”
Mike shares, “My family and I are thrilled to be a part of this distinctive ministry. We have enjoyed the Dixie Echoes for many years now and look forward to what the Lord has in store for us!”
Mike’s first performance as a member of the Dixie Echoes was in Dillsburg, PA, on July 29, 2011. All of the Dixie Echoes are excited to have Mike Jennings, his wife Emilee, and 12 year old son Alex as part of our group.
Jennings previously sang with the Bay City Quartet (along with his wife, Emilee). Here is a first look at the newest bass of the Dixie Echoes.
